Jackie is a writer, storyteller, & nurse practitioner— finding beauty in brokenness.

Her first book is available soon.

Through Jackie’s journey of grief, she discovered an unexpected longing to comfort others facing similar pain. She shares her story and the hope her faith in Jesus brought her, offering understanding and connection to those who struggle during the holidays or any difficult day.

When she’s not writing, Jackie works as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Washington State. She holds a doctorate in nursing practice & a master’s in biblical studies.

Her first poem, “I Have an Elf of My Own,” was published in Our Best in ’73: Buffalo Public Schools, at age ten. Jackie began to write again after the loss of her son, Sebastian, to help her process and heal after his suicide. She writes about grief, suicide, adoption, and the goodness of God during pain and suffering.

Grief is a journey that mothers grieving the loss of a child by suicide should never undertake alone.
